Azerbaijan Delegation Lauds Walled City of Lahore Authority’s Work

ISLAMABAD: A seven-member delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Fakhranda Hassan Zade, visited the Walled City of Lahore Authority and University of Home Economics on Monday.

WCLA Director General Kamran Lashari welcomed the delegation on arrival and briefed the members about the importance of the city’s historical places, culture, and traditional foods.

He said that Pakistan had strong ties with Azerbaijan. Trade and exchanges of delegations provide opportunities to understand people on both sides. He also presented a souvenir to the visiting delegation.

The delegation lauded WCLA’s services in the restoration and preservation of the historical sites and expressed its interest in the promotion of the traditional food and culture of both countries.

Later, the delegation visited the University of Home Economics, where faculty and students warmly welcomed it and presented the members with bouquets. The delegation visited the university’s cooking labs and witnessed the preparation of traditional foods.

The university registrar Shujaat Muneef Quershi also presented a souvenir to the delegation.

The delegation expressed its gratitude to their guests for their hospitability.
