Azerbaijan Envoy Vows to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov has said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan should further enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors. The Ambassador expressed these remarks during a function that was organized to celebrate the 106th Independence Day of Azerbaijan, in Islamabad.

Khazar Farhadov said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan are enjoying cordial relationship. He lauded Pakistan for being one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan’s on December 12, 1991.

Ambassador Farhadov said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan should take more steps to increase the volume of trade between the two nations. He acknowledged Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan at all world forums. He said that last year, Azerbaijan welcomed over 15,000 Pakistani visitors, reflecting the deepening people-to-people contact between the two friendly nations.

On the occasion, Romina Khurshid Alam, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, extended her heartfelt congratulations to Azerbaijan on this special occasion. She emphasized the strong bond between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to fostering peace and prosperity.

She underscored the extensive cooperation between the two countries across various fields, including trade, culture, education, and environmental sustainability. She called for joint efforts to combat climate change and protect the environment for future generations.
