ISLAMABAD: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended felicitations to Asif Ali Zardari on his election as the President of Pakistan, local media reported on Friday.
In a message, Ilham Aliyev said that friendship and cooperation with fraternal Pakistan, which is based on a solid foundation, holds special significance to Azerbaijan. The level of mutual understanding between the two countries provides a promising foundation for further enhancing relations across various sectors.
Aliyev said that he was confident that both sides would work together to strengthen and deepen the Azerbaijani-Pakistani strategic partnership and alliance, based on mutual support and trust, and to successfully continue the positive traditions of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
