QUETTA: Quetta Custom Darakhsan, Field Enforcement Unit, and FIA’s Anti-Corruption Quetta, in joint operations in Balochistan, recovered at least 2350 parcels of sugar, 28000 liters of foreign petrol and diesel, 127 cartons of foreign cigarettes and nine non- customs paid on Wednesday.
Pakistan Customs Superintendent’s spokesperson Dr. Atta Bareach, said that Darakshan Field Enforcement Unit and FIA’s anti-corruption Quetta Circle took action against the petrol, diesel, sugar, and nine non-customs paid vehicles.
The team conducted a successful raid at a warehouse close to Bhosa Mandi and recovered about 2350 parcels of sugar, which would be smuggled. While 28000 liters of foreign petrol and diesel were seized from an oil tanker by the Luckpass Field Enforcement Unit.
Balochistan Customs’ Raid Near Afghan Border
Meanwhile, 127 cartons of foreign-brand cigarettes, including nine non-custom paid vehicles, were also seized near the Afghan Border by Taftan Rifle and Sindh Regiment at Nokundi during the raid.
The value of items seized during these 3 operations is more than eighty million rupees.
The customs spokesman said that such operations would be continued in order to prevent the smuggling of sugar and other items to eradicate illegal business in the interest of the national economy.
