ISLAMABAD: Despite the relentless efforts of anti-state elements residing abroad to spread misinformation and manipulate public opinion, Balochistan is witnessing unprecedented progress and development. These anti-state elements sitting abroad are completely oblivious to the ground developments in Balochistan. The region, which has long been a focal point of foreign agendas, is now experiencing significant advancements across various sectors, thanks to collaborative efforts between Pakistan and China, particularly under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative.
One of the significant achievements in Balochistan’s development landscape is the ongoing transformation of Gwadar Port. As the 7th anniversary of its inauguration approaches, the port city has become a symbol of progress. Notably, Gwadar’s development is not limited to infrastructural projects but also extends to crucial sectors like health, education, energy, and business, significantly improving the lives of the local population.
Several projects are reshaping the region’s energy sector, including the construction of a 300MW Coal-Fired Power Project in Gwadar, addressing the province’s energy crisis. Additionally, Chinese authorities have provided 3,000 solar panels to the impoverished residents of Gwadar, ensuring a sustainable source of electricity. The establishment of a 5 MGD Water Desalination Plant in Gwadar aims to tackle the shortage of portable drinking water, enhancing the living conditions of the local communities.
In the education sector, the completion of the Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute in Gwadar has opened new avenues for skill development and industrial growth. Zong 4G, in collaboration with local schools, is fostering digitization, enabling education in digital technology, and empowering young minds. Zong’s Digital Lab has helped the Pak-China School (Faqeer Middle School) to transform into the only non-profit digital school in Gwadar, which is helping young girls of Balochistan to learn digital technology.
Multi-Sector Progress in Balochistan
The China-Pak Friendship Hospital is a testament to the collaborative efforts enhancing healthcare facilities in Balochistan. In terms of infrastructure, the completion of the Gwadar Eastbay Expressway 19km (14.5 offshore) and the establishment of the New Gwadar International Airport are pivotal in improving connectivity and accessibility.
The Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan is an inclusive and sustainable strategic development plan that ensures the socio-economic uplift of the Makran coast in general and the Gwadar Region in particular.
In the business sector, multiple ventures, including the “GDA Gwadar Club,” “Food Street on West Bay Gwadar,” Water Sports Facilities at GDA Model Beach Park, and Funland Park at GDA Central Park, are open for private investment and joint ventures, fostering economic growth and entrepreneurship. Moreover, 2,000 boat engines have been distributed to fishermen of Gwadar to enable them to expand their business.
CPEC has opened doors for Balochistan’s agricultural sector, enabling the export of fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural products to international markets. This opportunity not only boosts the economy but also empowers local farmers, contributing to the region’s agricultural growth.
Despite these remarkable strides, anti-state elements residing abroad continue their propaganda against Balochistan’s development efforts. These elements’ lack of awareness and foreign funding via HIAS compel them to propaganda against the state and development of Balochistan. However, the local populace remains steadfast, focusing on the positive changes unfolding in their region.
The anti-state anarchists sitting in their luxurious homes abroad are unaware of Balochistan’s past, present, and future and are trying to manipulate the simpleton Baloch people and the international community. These elements in Europe enjoy all kinds of progressive developments but have never let development in Balochistan prosper; instead, they incite violence and hatred at the behest of foreign agenda.
As Balochistan marches towards a brighter future, these developments stand as a testament to the resilience and determination of the people and the collaborative spirit between Pakistan and China in fostering progress and prosperity in the region.
