LAHORE: Bangladesh Ambassador in Pakistan Mohammad Iqbal Khan announced on Saturday his country has relaxed the visa issuance process for Pakistan by offering the opportunity to apply for an online visa.

“Bangladesh has simplified visa requirements for Pakistanis, and Pakistani citizens can now apply for a Bangladeshi visa online,” he said while addressing the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He said that the people of Bangladesh hold Pakistan in high regard, and both countries need to strengthen their economic and trade cooperation.

“The people of Bangladesh share a bond of love with the people of Pakistan, and increasing cooperation between the two countries is the need of the hour,” he said, adding that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce can play a role in boosting bilateral trade between the two countries.

The Chamber’s president, Mian Abu Zar Shad, said the Pakistani business community is eager to enhance trade with Bangladesh, and their delegations will soon visit Bangladesh.
