RAWALPINDI: Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) of the Bangladesh Navy has acknowledged the Pakistan Armed Forces’ pivotal role in fostering peace and stability in the region, a military statement said on Friday.
According to the Pakistan military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he expressed the views during a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
During this second high-level visit by Bangladesh Armed Forces in the recent past, both dignitaries engaged in discussions on matters of mutual interest, the prevailing regional security environment, and avenues for enhanced bilateral defence and security cooperation, said an ISPR news release.
“Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan commended Pakistan’s significant contributions to regional peace and stability and in particular appreciated the holding of the upcoming Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN 2025 and the conduct of AMAN Dialogue,” it said.
According to the press release he also acknowledged the Pakistan Armed Forces’ pivotal role in fostering peace and stability in the region.

Meanwhile, Admiral Nazmul Hassan, also called on General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) at Joint Staff Headquarters.
The ISPR in a press release said the discussion centred on evolving regional environments, and mutual strategic interests, including maritime collaboration and explored ways to enhance bilateral defence cooperation. “Both military leaders underscored the importance of collaboration in promoting peace and stability,” said an ISPR news release.
