ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu was visited in Islamabad on Wednesday by a high-level defence team headed by Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan, principal staff officer of the Armed Forces Division of Bangladesh. Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan expressed profound interest in the JF-17 Thunder fighter jets.

The air chief reiterated his commitment to strengthening the military cooperation between the two Air Forces through cooperative training programs during the meeting, according to state-run Radio Pakistan.

The dignitaries also decided to look into ways to work together, such as joint training and exchange programmes.

Indigenously developed

Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan lauded the innovative projects, cutting-edge technologies and indigenously developed technological framework of Pakistan Air Force under the current leadership. He expressed profound interest in sophisticated military hardware being developed, notably the JF-17 Thunder fighter jets.

The meeting between Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force and Bangladeshi defence delegation signifies a resolute commitment to reinforce military partnership, fostering collaboration and promoting robust relations between the two countries.
