Bannu Attack: Martyred Soldiers Laid to Rest with Full Military Honours

RAWALPINDI: Eight security personnel who embraced martyrdom during a suicide attack by terrorists on Bannu cantonment have been buried with full military honours in their native towns, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.

Among the martyrs were Naib Subedar Muhammad Shahzad, Havildar Zil-e-Hussain, 39; Havildar Shahzad Ahmed, 28; Sepoy Ashfaq Hussain Khan, 30; Sepoy Sobhan Majeed, 22; Sepoy Imtiaz Khan, 30; Sepoy Arsalan Aslam, 26, of the Pakistan Army, and Lance Naik Sabz Ali, 34, of the Frontier Constabulary, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the ISPR, a large number of senior officers of Pakistan Army, soldiers, families of martyrs and elders of the area attended the funeral prayer and burial of the martyrs.

The ISPR said these great sacrifices of the martyrs will no go in vain. It further said that the war against terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated from the country.
