SRINAGAR: Various Hurriyat organizations in the occupied Kashmir have come together to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people, strongly condemning what they label as Israeli terrorism in the Gaza Strip.

As reported by Kashmir Media Service, prominent leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) including Masroor Abbas, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopore, Yasmeen Raja, Zamrooda Habib, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Prof Zubari, and Umar Mughal have drawn parallels between the situations in occupied Kashmir and Palestine. They highlighted the harsh treatment meted out to Muslims in both regions, citing the desecration of mosques and violence against innocent civilians.

The leaders pointed out that India, much like Israel, has escalated human rights violations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). This, they argue, necessitates urgent attention from the international community.

Calling for global awareness of the predicament faced by both Kashmiris and Palestinians, the leaders demanded the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take a proactive role in resolving the disputes concerning Kashmir and Palestine. They stressed the critical importance of addressing the military aggression in these disputed territories and ensuring the basic rights of the affected populations. They emphasized that finding a resolution to these issues is crucial for world peace and prosperity.

Expressing unwavering support for the oppressed Palestinian people, the leaders urged Muslims worldwide to stand in solidarity with both Kashmiris and Palestinians, who, they argue, are victims of what they perceive as Indian and Israeli terrorism.
