ISLAMABAD: Upon Special invitation of the Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, Raja Pervez Ashraf, the Belgium Parliamentary Delegation led by Allessia Clots, Senator/Chairperson of the Pakistan-Belgium Parliamentary Friendship Group, is officially visiting Pakistan from 16th January to 21st January 2023.

This visit will serve as a tool to strengthen bilateral ties between both nations and further strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore, this visit would also explore new avenues of cooperation in trade and business.

Belgium Parliamentary Delegation comprises Allessia Claes, Senator /Chairperson of the Belgium-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, Karl Vanlourve, State Senator

Philippe Courard, PS, State Senator, Georges Dallemagne, Les Engages, Member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives and Senior officers of Belgium Parliament.

Belgium Parliamentary delegation will meet Chairman Senate

Besides having a call with Speaker National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf, the Belgium Parliamentary Delegation would also hold a meeting with Chairman Senate. The delegation would also hold a meeting with Convener parliamentary task Force on SDGs and chairperson Women Parliamentary Cacus in Parliament Hous.

Furthermore, the Parliamentary Delegation would call on Governor Punjab in Lahore. This will also visit Texpak (Belgium Company) in Lahore & Badshahi mosque.

Later on, the Belgium Parliamentary Delegation would visit Karachi. Where it will have a call on meeting with Chief Minister Sindh. The parliament delegation would also visit the Leprosy centre of MALC Karachi

and flood-affected areas in Sindh to express solidarity with flood-affected people.
