NEW YORK: Palestinian-American model Bella Hadid has courageously spoken out about the ongoing Israeli brutalities and humanitarian crisis in Palestine, urging people to unite in defense of “humanity and compassion.”
Hadid, whose father is Palestinian, shared her sentiments in a heartfelt statement posted on Instagram, breaking her silence on the issue that has gripped the world’s attention for the past 21 days.
In her statement, Hadid revealed the challenges she faced, including receiving death threats and experiencing her family’s safety being compromised due to her outspoken stance on the Palestinian cause. Despite these threats, she asserted, “Fear is not an option. The people and children of Palestine, especially Gaza, cannot afford our silence. We are not brave — they are.”
