ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday stressed the significance of reconciliation among politicians to ensure political stability and a strong democracy in the country.
He urged all the state institutions to work within the mandated constitutional domains.
Talking to reporters outside the Supreme Court after attending the hearing of the presidential reference pertaining to the death of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal said that Pakistan was facing multiple challenges that could be effectively dealt with once all the political leaders started respecting one another.
Bilawal Bhutto Urges Politicians to Respect Each Other
Bilawal stressed that politicians should respect each other; otherwise, no one would bother to respect them.
He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for “not realizing its mistakes”, which, he said, led to putting at stake the democracy, constitution, and system.
To a query, the PPP chairman said that Asif Ali Zardari, after his election as president, would appoint governors of all the provinces. The process of shortlisting names for governors had not yet been initiated, he added.
