BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan: Akylbek Japarov, Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet head, unveiled the new State Flag at an impressive ceremony at Ala-Too Square.

The occasion was graced by the presence of notable figures such as Speaker of the Parliament Nurlanbek Shakiev, State Secretary Suinbek Kasmambetov, and other dignitaries.

The event marked the official adoption of Kyrgyzstan’s new state flag, following parliamentary support for the Cabinet’s bill aimed at enhancing the flag’s design. The bill, signed by the president on December 22, 2023, underwent revisions approved by the Cabinet through a corresponding decree.

The initial raising of the new state flag took place on January 1 without an official ceremony. However, discrepancies emerged as the flag used differed from the Parliament-approved design. The Presidential Administration clarified that the Cabinet had made amendments, solidifying the design through an official decree.
