BISP Initiates Quarterly Benazir Kafaalat Payments

ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has commenced the disbursement of the quarterly tranche (October–December) for the Benazir Kafaalat cash assistance, benefitting recipients nationwide.

According to an official source, payments are now underway in all regions, including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan simultaneously.

Approximately nine million registered beneficiary families are receiving Rs. 8500 per household during this disbursement period. In case of any concerns or complaints, beneficiaries have the option to reach out to the nearest BISP Tehsil offices or call the toll-free helpline at 080026477 for assistance.

A dedicated control room at BISP headquarters has been activated to promptly address any complaints from beneficiaries.

For additional contact, beneficiaries can use WhatsApp numbers specific to their regions, such as 0305-9171917 (Sindh), 0325-5365520 (Punjab), 0325-5365469 (Balochistan), and 0325-5365476 (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.

It’s important to note that messages from the Benazir Income Support Program are sent exclusively from 8171, and any messages from other numbers should be treated as untrustworthy.

Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Chairperson of BISP, has directed officials to ensure the smooth and respectful disbursement of Kafaalat payments to women without any deductions. During visits to various BISP offices, including Peshawar, Sukkur, Sargodha, Abbottabad, Chakwal, and Okara, the chairman reiterated the program’s commitment to timely and transparent payment of Kafaalat stipends.

Dr. Saqib instructed staff to monitor the payment disbursement process closely and take immediate action against agents responsible for any deductions from beneficiaries’ payments.

Currently supporting 9.3 million deserving families, BISP serves as a lifeline for those facing economic hardships. Dr. Saqib urged employees to recognize the rights of needy women and provided practical guidance to uplift poor families from the clutches of poverty.
