Indian startups expect their sales would increase 30-0 percent during Black Friday

This Black Friday which will end tomorrow, many startups in India are trying to create a buzz with discounts.

Last year, while many e-commerce brands were reluctant to participate in the program, participating brands saw an almost 40% increase in BAU sales.

While growth in “seasonal sales” events is slowing, e-commerce brands are rocking Black Friday sales to hit sales targets.

Indians were understandably drawn to discounts and the country already has its own version of Black Friday sales – the pre-Diwali festive season sales.

Despite the US focus before Thanksgiving caught the attention of urban millennials and GenZ-types in e-commerce in India, they are catching on fast.

This Black Friday (November 25, 2022), many e-commerce and retail companies in India including Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, CRED and others are trying to create buzz with Black Friday sales discounts.

Many D2C brands in electronics, home care, accessories and clothing are set for Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales that will be live from midnight to midnight.
