BLACKPINK Partners with Spotify to Celebrate Debut Anniversary

ISLAMABAD: This August, BLACKPINK is set to take over the music scene as the globally renowned girl group marks their 8th anniversary. To commemorate this significant milestone, BLACKPINK, consisting of members JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA, has partnered with Spotify to launch a special celebration titled #8YearswithBLACKPINK. This initiative will see a series of exclusive surprises and interactive features on the popular streaming platform.

BLACKPINK’s rise to global superstardom has been nothing short of remarkable. Their presence on Spotify has been particularly impressive, with the group’s streams demonstrating an average year-on-year growth of over 110%. To date, BLACKPINK has accumulated over 13 billion streams on the platform. Their top five most streamed tracks—“How You Like That,” “Kill This Love,” “Pink Venom,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” and “Shut Down”—have collectively surpassed 4 billion stream.

In celebration of their 8th anniversary, Spotify is offering BLACKPINK fans—affectionately known as BLINKs—a unique experience on the This Is BLACKPINK playlist. From August 1 to August 8, the playlist will feature daily tributes to different eras of BLACKPINK’s career.

Fans tuning into the This Is BLACKPINK playlist during this period will also have the opportunity to access exclusive digital sharecards. These sharecards will reflect individual listening habits and preferences, allowing fans to discover their personal engagement with BLACKPINK’s music.
