Blockbuster ‘Pathaan’ Becomes First Hindi Film to Release in Bangladesh after 1971

DELHI: Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film “Pathaan” achieved another milestone, becoming the first Indian film to premiere in Bangladesh after 1971.

 

Vice President of International Distributions, Nelson D’Souza, shared that Pathaan is getting the theatrical release in Bangladesh on May 12.

 

In a statement, Nelson added: “Cinema has always been the unifying force between nations, cultures and races. It transcends borders, galvanizes citizens and plays a significant hand in bringing people together.”

 

“We’re incredibly thrilled that Pathaan, which has done historic business worldwide, will now get the chance to entertain audiences in Bangladesh!”

 

While thanking the authorities, he said that “Pathaan becomes the first Indian movie to release in Bangladesh post-1971, and we’re thankful to the authorities for their decision.”

 

He revealed that Shah Rukh has a massive fan following in Bangladesh. Therefore on receiving permission, they decided to release his latest super hit Indian film in the country.
