Brazil, UAE Presidents Vow to Extend Bilateral Cooperation in Diverse Fields

ABU DHABI:  UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva have discussed bilateral ties and opportunities for further cooperation during a telephonic conversation, Arab media reported on Thursday.

The two sides also reaffirmed their commitments to the strategic ties between Brazil and the UAE, and to enhance all efforts aimed at supporting the sustainable development ambitions of the two sides and their people.

During the talks, the two leaders discussed a number of regional and global matters, and emphasized the significance of cooperation to support world stability and seek peaceful solutions to crises.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva expressed his condolences and sympathy on the demise of Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with to UAE’s President.

During the telephonic conversation, the two President also discussed the upcoming COP28 climate conference, which will be hosted by the UAE in the current year, and also explored opportunities to enhance further cooperation between the two nations in the area of climate action.
