ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces on Saturday made a huge breakthrough by chasing and arresting two extortionists affiliated with the banned terrorist group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to reports, security agencies successfully captured two members of a group responsible for collecting extortion money on behalf of the banned TTP. The arrests were made based on intelligence information, and during the subsequent interrogation, the culprits admitted to supporting the outlawed TTP through various means, including aiding in extortion activities.

Extortionists Confirm TTP Presence in Afghanistan

The arrested extortionists also confirm the presence of banned TTP commanders in Afghanistan. They specifically mentioned that the outlawed TTP commander, Abdul Raziq, is currently situated in Afghanistan and communicates instructions through WhatsApp.

Furthermore, the arrested suspect revealed that Abdul Raziq, the outlawed TTP commander, requested videos of shops and houses owned by targeted individuals, which were later used to demand extortion payments. In cases of non-payment or delays, he would issue threats of harm or abduction.

To combat extortion and criminal elements, law enforcement agencies are implementing comprehensive measures to protect their citizens.
