Britain’s King Invites Prince Harry to His Coronation

LONDON: The office of Britain’s King Charles III has been in contact with Prince Harry regarding the new monarch’s coronation, raising the possibility Harry will join the historic ceremony despite tensions and issues within the royal family.

If Prince Harry and Meghan, were to join the coronation in London, it would be the first interaction between King Charles and his younger son since the prince deepened the gap within the House of Windsor by exposing family secrets in his book, “Spare.’’

A spokesperson for the royal couple also known as Harry and Meghan confirmed Sunday that the prince had received “email correspondence’’ from the King Charles office regarding the coronation.

However, Buckingham Palace did not respond to a request for comment over the matter. The couple’s office said in a statement that that they will not disclose decision about the joining of ceremony.

Rumors about whether prince Harry and his wife Meghan would be invited to the ceremony have raged since the release of Harry’s memoir.

The disclosures, including details of private discussions with his father and brother, fanned tensions between prince Harry and his family that became public when the couple moved to North America in 2020.
