LONDON: British pop sensation Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner are reportedly making plans for a grand wedding in the United Kingdom, but their hectic schedules may delay the ceremony.
According to Life & Style magazine, a source revealed that the couple is eager to tie the knot in a lavish celebration. “At this point, the plan is to have a big wedding in the UK,” the insider said.
“They’re absolutely mad for each other, it’s all very intense.”
However, scheduling conflicts have made it difficult for the Levitating singer and the Masters of the Air star to finalise their wedding plans.
“The only problem is that it’s proving very hard to align their schedules,” the source explained.
“He’s deep in promotion for his latest movie and starting pre-production on the next one, and she’s preparing for her tour, which starts in March. She’ll be on the road until the end of October.”
The insider suggested that the delay might test the couple’s patience. “Realistically, they are going to have to wait until late autumn or even next winter, and that may end up being too long for them to wait,” the source added.
Despite the challenges, Lipa, 29, and Turner, 35, are determined to make their wedding a reality. A separate source told Life & Style that their friends believe the couple might opt for an elopement if the delay proves too frustrating.
“A lot of their friends are predicting they’ll do something wild, like run off to Las Vegas and elope, because they just want to be married so badly,” the source said.
Lipa and Turner’s relationship has been closely followed by fans since they were first linked in early 2024.
Their romance was confirmed in February 2024 when they were spotted holding hands at a Grammys afterparty. Lipa later shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to Turner, calling him her “favourite person in the world.”
The couple has since grown more comfortable sharing their relationship with the public, with Lipa frequently posting pictures of their time together.
Turner is also said to be a devoted partner, with a source telling Life & Style that he “has been the most incredible, loving partner to her” and regularly surprises her with romantic gestures.
Towards the end of 2024, Turner reportedly spent the holiday season with Lipa and their families, further fuelling speculation about their engagement.
The Dance the Night singer hinted at the milestone when she posted a selfie featuring a ring on her left hand, writing, “Home for the holidays, sending you all so much love.”
While a grand wedding remains the plan, the couple’s conflicting schedules could force them to reconsider.
“They don’t get a whole lot of time together, so when they do, they’re completely joined at the hip,” the source noted. “They truly are in love and firmly committed to going through with the marriage.”
