The National Cyber Threat Assessment Report is a new development in the India-Canada diplomatic tensions.

The development comes as Canada’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs David Morrison blamed Indian Home Minister Amit Shah of planning violence against Sikh leaders.

Earlier, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had said, in a statement, that Canada had solid and reliable evidence of New Delhi’s involvement in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Canada had also expelled six Indian diplomats for their involvement in activities to suppress Sikh leaders in early October.
