Responding to a question, he highlighted that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) holds the responsibility to determine election dates and conduct them in good faith.

Acknowledging the ECP’s independence, the Caretaker CM refrained from interfering in their affairs, asserting that their role was to support the commission and ensure administrative reshuffles where necessary.

Concerning regrettable incidents like the recent tragic death of a girl in Ranipur, CM Baqar emphasized the need for comprehensive investigations. Additionally, he strongly condemned the incident in Jaranwala, where a mob set multiple churches and houses of the Christian community on fire based on alleged blasphemy allegations.
