WASHINGTON: Former President Donald Trump will move back into the White House to start his second term, having crossed the barrier of 270 electoral college votes required to clinch the presidency.
His victory came as a surprise to many, especially in light of the high-profile celebrities who had campaigned for his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, who took to social media and toured various states in the days leading up to the election, encouraging Americans to vote.
Now, Hollywood’s reactions to Trump’s victory include doubt to some and celebration to others.
Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan, a longtime Trump supporter, attended rallies and showed his enthusiasm by ripping his shirt in signature fashion to express his support. Following the election results, he shared his thoughts on Instagram:
“Believe it or not, brother, we are more alike than we are different. This election season showed just how much we all care about where this country’s headed. Now that the votes are in, let’s remember—it does not matter if you are a Democrat or a Republican, we are all real Americans. It’s time to come together, talk with our neighbours and focus on what unites us. We all love this country, and we’re all in for building a better future. Love you all. HH”
