Chairman Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Receives Saudi Defense Minister

RIYADH: Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi has received the Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

During the reception, the defense minister conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Dr. Al-Alimi who also extended their wishes for security, prosperity and stability to Yemen and its brotherly people.

Dr. Al-Alimi conveyed to the defense minister his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince.

Both sides during the meeting vowed to enhance the fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries.

They also reviewed the latest developments in Yemen, efforts to support peace, and progress made regarding the roadmap to end the crisis in Yemeni and achieve a comprehensive political solution under the United Nations.

The defense minister stressed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast and supportive stance towards ensuring the stability and security of Yemen fulfilling the aspirations of its brotherly people.

Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber and Minister of Defense Office’s Director General Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif were also present in the meeting.

Presidential Office Director Dr. Yahya Mohammed Ashuaibi and Presidential Council Office Director Major General Saleh Al-Muqalih attended the reception from the Yemeni side.
