ISLAMABAD: The digital census field activities of the seventh Population and Housing Census, the first-ever “Digital Census,” commenced on Wednesday across the country.
Dr. Naeem uz Zafar, Chief Census Commissioner, inaugurated the field activities by marking the first Building Structure in the ‘House Listing App’. The launching in all divisions was carried out by respective census commissioners.
Citizens of Pakistan important stakeholders in census
Dr. Zafar said that the citizens of Pakistan are the most important stakeholders and beneficiaries of the digital census. He urged them to ensure full participation and cooperation during census field activities.
He said that participation in the census is not only a moral and legal obligation, but it also provides the opportunity for the government to do evidence-based policy planning to ensure the rights of citizens and better service delivery at the doorsteps.
