Weather Update: Chilly, Arid Weather Forecasts in Most Areas of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Met Office on Wednesday forecast chilly and arid to partly cloudy weather in most parts of the country for next 12 hours. Meanwhile, north and southwest Balochistan as well as Gilgit-Baltistan may encounter cloudy weather with light rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous areas. The morning temperatures in major cities were as follows: Islamabad 6°C, Lahore and Peshawar 11°C, Karachi 19°C, Quetta 5°C, Gilgit 3°C, Murree 0°C, and Muzaffarabad 10°C.

Additionally, the weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir suggests partly cloudy and cold conditions in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla, with Leh experiencing very cold weather. The recorded morning temperatures were: Srinagar, Anantnag, and Baramulla 2°C, Jammu 10°C, Leh -11°C, and Pulwama and Shopian 1°C.
