BEIJING: China has developed a new anti-sniper system using acoustic and opto-electronic technology to locate and detect sniper positions in real time.
This system works with a portable remote-controlled weapon station equipped with a grenade launcher and is capable of carrying out high-precision strikes with air-burst rounds.
The system is equipped with components from the Chinese 35mm QLU-11 sniper grenade launcher, which has a range of up to 2,000 meters.
