China Launches New Earth Observation Satellite Successfully

ISLAMABAD: From its Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the Shanxi Province, China sent a new Earth observation satellite into space from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center at 3:37 p.m. Tuesday (Beijing Time).

The satellite is named Gaofen-11 04. The Long March-4B is carrying the rocket and it entered the planned orbit successfully.

The satellite will be used in a number of fields, including crop yield estimation, urban planning, land resources surveying, road network design, and disaster relief.

This Is the Long March carrier rocket series’ 457th flight mission.
