BEIJING: China strongly opposes all types of terrorism and strongly condemns the bomb attack targeting civilians in a rally in Bajaur, a tribal district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, a spokesperson of the foreign ministry has said.
According to reports, “A bomb blast that targeted a rally held on July 30 in Bajaur resulted in at least 44 fatalities and more than 100 injuries. Pakistan called it a deadly terrorist attack.”
In response to a relevant question, the spokesperson stated, “We are deeply shocked by the attack,” adding that China vehemently rejects all types of terrorism and strongly denounced the bomb attack that targeted civilians.
The statement said, “We mourn for the victims and offer our condolences to their families and the injured.” The official continued, “China fully supports Pakistan in moving through with its Action to Counter Terrorism and is firmly committed to eradicating terrorism, keeping social stability, and safeguarding people’s lives. —APP
