BEIJING: China has begun this year’s plan to achieve high-quality development of research-based think tanks for the publishing industry.
The development plan aims to forge a batch of remarkable think tanks and cultivate competent professionals assigned with producing influential research achievements, thus promoting theoretical and practical studies in the publishing industry and the proper application of research advances, according to a statement recently issued by the National Press and Publication Administration.
China Think Tanks for Publishing Industry
The Think tanks selected for the plan will be encouraged to initiate independent research-based projects and these will be subject to performance evaluation, the circular further read.
The circular further stated that the research projects would cover topics including optimizing publications on major themes, encouraging reading among the masses, improving compiling and publishing of ancient books, accelerating the high-quality development of academic journals, and promoting digital publication.
