ISLAMABAD/BEIJING: Chinese foreign ministry spokesman has said that China welcomes a visit by Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State, to the country.

Wang Wenbin in a daily news briefing on Tuesday said that “China welcomes Secretary of State Blinken’s to China visit. “Both United States and China are in communication now over the specific arrangements,” he said responding to a question on a media report that Blinken is visiting China on February 5.
Wenbin said that “China also hopes the United States could adopt a correct view of China, uphold communication rather than confrontation, win-win rather than zero-sum (thinking). Politico reported that Blinken could meet in Beijing with his counterpart, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang, on February 5-6, 2023.
