BEIJING: China’s exports of electric scooters, motorcycles, and self-propelled scooters to Kyrgyzstan have surged to 31,000 units in the first seven months of 2023, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs of China.
This figure marks a significant increase compared to the same period in 2022, during which 11,400 units of similar vehicles were exported to Kyrgyzstan.
The remarkable growth in both quantity and value is underscored by the fact that the monetary value of these exports has tripled, reaching a total of $9.7 million for the period.
China’s Electric Vehicle Exports
The average export price per two-wheeled electric vehicle stood at $312, reflecting China’s role as a key player in the global electric vehicle market. This significant expansion of exports signifies the increasing demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions, as electric scooters and motorcycles gain popularity due to their environmental benefits and cost-effectiveness.
The rising adoption of electric vehicles aligns with broader global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change. The enhanced export figures highlight China’s contribution to meeting these sustainability goals while also meeting the transportation needs of its international partners.
