BEIJING: A prominent manufacturer of oil and gas pipeline components located in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region has expressed interest in strengthening collaboration with Pakistan.

The company’s deputy general manager, Zhou ShanZheng, revealed this during a press conference at Alashankou while responding to a question from a reporter from China Economic Net (CEN).

Situated strategically within the Alashankou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Xinbo Pipeline currently allocates 40% of its products to the domestic market, with the remaining 60% serving Central Asian countries as part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), as stated by the deputy general manager.

Zhou disclosed, “We have agreed with Kazakhstan to supply 30,000 tons of pipelines annually,” he also mentioned the increasing orders from Uzbekistan.

The export growth is facilitated by various incentives and supportive policies within the bonded area, including streamlined export processes, tax benefits, and financial assistance.

While the company primarily focuses on Central Asian nations, it also recognizes potential cooperation with Pakistan. Given Pakistan’s rising demand for pipelines, Zhou stated, “We can provide essential pipeline components to meet their needs.” —APP
