Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, Maulana Fazl Discuss Bilateral Relations

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, along with his delegation, called on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday and discussed relations between the two countries.

A JUI-F Spokesperson said that the delegation included Minister Counselor Zhang Nu, Wang Sita, and Zhang Duva. Issues related to bilateral ties and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) were also discussed in the meeting.

Ambassador Invites Maulana Fazl to Visit China

The envoy said Beijing wanted Pakistan to use China’s technology in agriculture. The meeting also agreed to expand the scope of CPEC, underlining the importance of including more projects in CPEC.

Fazl expressed his resolve to form industrial and economic zones in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan.

The envoy also invited the JUI-F chief to visit China. Mohammad Jalaluddin, a former envoy and adviser on foreign affairs, and Mufti Abrar Ahmed, who is the spokesperson for JUI-F, were also present in the meeting.
