BEIJING, China: Chinese consumers can now enjoy the delicious taste of Pakistani mangoes, with the arrival of 800 cartons weighing over 3 tons in China.

This shipment signifies the latest partnership between Zhitong Batie Ltd in Guangzhou, China, and MERA PC Solutions in Pakistan.

Known as the “King of Fruits” in Pakistan, these mangoes are now available for purchase on various Chinese e-commerce platforms including JD.com’s Pakistan Pavilion, Douyin shops, and WeChat accounts. Each carton, priced at 168 yuan and inclusive of express delivery, contains mangoes weighing between 4 to 4.2 kilograms.

Cindy Chen, the regional director of Zhitong Batie, had carefully selected two popular varieties, Sindhri and Chaunsa, renowned for their exceptional taste in Pakistan. These mangoes are sourced from premium orchards in Pakistan, where traditional cultivation methods are employed without artificial growth enhancers or bagging, ensuring a natural and pure mango flavor cherished by Chinese consumers.

To preserve the mangoes’ unique taste and ensure smooth logistics, a meticulous process is followed from orchard to consumer. After harvest, the mangoes undergo heat treatment and are packed under strict conditions before being transported via cold chain to Pakistani airports for air shipment to China. In China, SF Express manages domestic delivery, guaranteeing freshness and quality.

Challenges in maintaining mango freshness during transportation have been addressed through innovative solutions such as enhanced packaging, air cushions, and specialized preservation techniques. This has enabled customers to receive fresh mangoes that can be stored at room temperature for up to 13-15 days, allowing them to ripen naturally and achieve optimal flavor.

This successful collaboration marks the first batch of Pakistani mangoes imported by Zhitong Batie this year, enhancing accessibility for Chinese consumers eager to indulge in the seasonal delight from Pakistan.
