BEIJING: During a Monday meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and a North Korean official reiterated strong support and confidence in their nations’ relationship, as international condemnation followed Pyongyang’s recent missile test.
“In the face of the turbulent international situation, China and the DPRK have always firmly supported and trusted each other, demonstrating the strategic significance of China-DPRK friendly cooperation,” Wang said, according to a readout from China’s foreign ministry, using the official acronym for North Korea.
