KABUL: In a demonstration of international solidarity and humanitarian assistance, the Chinese government has taken swift action by delivering the first batch of earthquake relief supplies to Afghanistan.
The relief materials, which include essential items such as tents, rollaway beds, and thick blankets, were transported to Afghanistan’s Herat International Airport via two Chinese cargo planes. This timely delivery serves as a significant gesture of support in the wake of a recent earthquake that has impacted the region.
China’s commitment to providing emergency humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan reflects its dedication to aiding the country in earthquake relief efforts. The aid supplies, which are urgently needed to assist those affected by the earthquake, are expected to provide much-needed relief to the stricken population.

In addition to government support, Chinese mining firm MCC-JCL Aynak Minerals Company Ltd. (MJAM) has extended a generous contribution of 2.27 million Afghani (equivalent to 30,000 U.S. dollars) to assist families affected by the earthquake in Herat. This act of corporate responsibility underscores the broader commitment of Chinese entities to the well-being of the Afghan people.
Furthermore, Afghan-based Chinese citizens have also shown their solidarity by contributing over 17,000 dollars to support individuals and families impacted by the earthquake in Herat. Their contributions exemplify the spirit of community and compassion during times of adversity, transcending borders and nationalities.
