ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for SAFRON, Kashmir Affairs, and Gilgit-Baltistan, Amir Muqam, highlighted the deep-rooted partnership between Pakistan and China, emphasizing their collaboration in various sectors including economic cooperation, security, cultural exchange, infrastructure development, and global coordination.
Speaking to a Chinese business delegation led by renowned economist Yuan Jianmin in Islamabad today, Muqam underscored the longstanding economic and cultural significance of the Pak-China border region, noting that their trade and cultural exchanges have a rich history spanning centuries.
The Minister expressed that investment in Gilgit-Baltistan could offer mutual benefits to both nations, enhancing economic growth, regional connectivity, and strengthening their partnership.
The delegation showed a strong interest in the development of a Special Economic Zone in Gilgit-Baltistan.
