Chinese Premier Arrives in Moscow for Three-Day Official Visit

MOSCOW: Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Moscow on Tuesday for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening ties between China and Russia. The visit marks a significant diplomatic engagement as both countries look to enhance their bilateral cooperation.

The Russian state news agency TASS reported Li’s arrival at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, where he was warmly welcomed by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and a delegation of officials from both nations. This high-profile visit is part of ongoing efforts to deepen the strategic partnership between China and Russia.

During his stay, Premier Li is scheduled to hold talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and President Vladimir Putin. The meetings are expected to focus on various aspects of the bilateral relationship, including economic cooperation, trade, and geopolitical strategies.

On the agenda are discussions on expanding trade ties, enhancing energy cooperation, and exploring new avenues for joint ventures. The report further said both sides are expected to discuss prospects for developing and expanding their partnership and cooperation, as well as sign several documents.

On Monday, China announced that Li will travel to Moscow to preside over the 29th regular meeting between the Chinese and Russian heads of government.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

China and Russia have maintained a close partnership in recent years, with both countries seeking to bolster their influence on the global stage through enhanced cooperation.
