Chinese Premier Meets Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Monday met with Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at the PM House.

Pakistan Army Chief extended a warm welcome to the visiting dignitary while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was also present on the occasion.

Earlier, Premier Li Qiang, who arrived in Pakistan on a four-day official visit, was given a guard of honour at the PM House as he reached there for delegation-level talks.

PM Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Premier Li at the venue of the formal welcome reception. The smartly turned-out contingents of three armed forces presented a guard of honour to Chinese Premier Li.

Later, both prime ministers introduced their respective delegations to each other before proceeding to the bilateral talks and delegation-level meeting.

During the visit, the Chinese PM will also attend the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
