LONDON: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was presented with an invitation letter to attend an all-party conference by a delegation of journalists led by President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Afzal Butt.

The letter, which was signed by 100 civil society organizations in Pakistan, urged Nawaz Sharif to attend the conference and help resolve the abuses done to the country.

The delegation of journalists, which included Pakistan-born British journalists Azhar Javed, Kausar Kazmi, Shaukat Dar, and Majid Nazir, presented the invitation letter to Nawaz Sharif during a meeting.

In his response, Nawaz Sharif emphasized the need to hold accountable those who brought the country to its current conditions. He added that the upcoming elections would be pointless without resolving the abuses done to the country.
