WASHINGTON: Former Senator Claire McCaskill became emotional during an appearance on MSNBC as she reflected on Kamala Harris’ “inspiring” career, following her loss in the presidential election in the US.
While on MSNBC watching Harris’s concession speech Wednesday, Claire McCaskill choked up thinking back on the candidate’s hard-hitting journey from DA to becoming vice president and the Democratic Party’s nominee – describing it “really hard stuff.”
“I’m so proud of Harris,” McCaskill stated tearily. “I don’t think people understand how hard it is to get to where Harris was. People don’t trust women to be in charge of making decisions regarding life and death and crime, and being frankly a supervisor in some means over police. Harris’s fighting through the primary thicket of California politics to become attorney general, truly hard.”

Kamala Harris conceded to Donald Trump on Wednesday afternoon at her alma mater, the historically Black college Howard University. Harris’s speech made it clear while she was conceding the election but she had no plans to concede “the fight that fueled this drive.”
Though not every state has been formally called by major media outlets including the AP, Donald Trump currently holds 291 electoral votes to Harris’ 223 – only 270 are required to win the White House.
