Climate Change Affects Human Lives: Climate Jurist

BERKELEY, California: Chairman of the US-based Climate Change Justice Fund, Sardar Aasif Ali Sial has appealed the people to protect the earth and build a sustainable future, saying climate change directly affects human life.

In his special message on the occasion of World Earth Day celebrated on Monday, April 22, he demanded strict action on global warming in Pakistan.

He added that climate change is directly or indirectly affecting human life.

International Climate Jurist said Earth Day’s importance to the environment is being highlighted all over the world.

Sardar Aasif Ali Sial emphasized that steps are being taken within Pakistan as per SDGs of the United Nations and across the world to tackle the threats posed by climate change and global warming.

He added the launch of a project like “Billion Tree Tsunami” in Pakistan is a milestone in this regard and is recognized worldwide.

Muhammad Habib Qureshi, Senior Executive Director of Climate Change Justice Fund, in his message on the occasion of Earth Day, has appealed to the people in general and particularly lawyers to take steps to protect the earth.

He said the parliament of Pakistan should play an active role in adopting an effective strategy to control the adverse effects of climate change in the country and formulate laws to humanize the environment and reduce the adverse effects of climate change.

Chaudry Muhammad Shoaib, Executive Director of Climate Change Justice Fund also appealed to the citizens of Pakistan to support “Earth Day” by expressing their love for the planet with real passion and great enthusiasm.

Coordinator, Climate Change Justice Fund, Advocate Muhammad Haseeb Qureshi emphasized that climate change is a global crisis that is directly affecting the earth and human life.

He said the world needs to prioritize investments in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, elimination of plastics, climate-friendly lifestyles, and forests to protect the Earth from unprecedented environmental challenges.
