PESHAWAR: A petition has been filed in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) seeking the disqualification of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The petition claims that Gandapur has violated his oath of office and should be disqualified under Article 62 of the Constitution. It alleges that he has misused government resources for his political rallies, describing this as unlawful.
Furthermore, the petition raises concerns over Gandapur’s actions, stating that he “stormed over the federal government with his Lashkar.” It also notes that multiple cases have been filed against him in Punjab, where he allegedly led large groups of supporters while disregarding the law.
After a mysterious absence of nearly 48 hours, Chief Minister Gandapur made a surprise appearance at the provincial assembly in Peshawar on Sunday night.
