CM KP, Interior Minister Agree on Consultation to Address Issues

ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and the Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi have agreed on holding mutual consultations to address any issue pending between the Centre and the province.

The development comes after KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur met Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister for Energy Awais Ahmad Khan Laghari here at the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad on Monday.

Discussing a number of issues faced by the province of KP, the dignitaries also highlighted the issue of electricity loadshedding and line losses in the province.

Federal Secretary Energy, Secretary Interior Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Executive Officer Pesco, Chief Executive Officer Tribal Power and officials of the Ministry of Interior also attended the meeting.

It is worth mentioning here that the Chief Minister KP has warned time and again about the due rights of the province including hydel power outstandings.

In another major development scores of citizens in the suburbs of Peshawar led by the local MPA stormed into the Hazar Khwani grid station, after continued loadshedding in the area.

The meeting between the KP CM and federal ministers was held after the apex committee meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) which was attended by CM Gandapur, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir and other senior officials.
