CM Maryam says Provincial Govt Committed to Modernize Punjab

LAHORE:  Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the provincial government intends to take Punjab into modern age of digitalization.

During a meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott in Lahore on Friday she said British institutions will provide possible facilities for the establishment of IT University in the province.

She held talks on increasing scholarships for Punjab students in top British universities.

Maryam Nawaz told the High Commissioner about the project of IT Park in Punjab, especially in Lahore, and said that the project of IT, Twin Towers in Lahore will begin very soon.

The meeting also discussed the exchange of air quality index technology to counter environmental pollution and addressing the issues of climate change.

The British High Commissioner on this occasion, congratulated Maryam Nawaz Sharif on becoming the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab while extending her best wishes.
