LAHORE: Punjab caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday announced Rs2 million each for the affected families in Jaranwala incident.
The CM visited Isa Nagar area of Jaranwala to express solidarity with the Christian community where he inspected the affected the torched churches and damaged houses.
He was accompanied by caretaker provincial ministers who visited the AEC Church and participated in the prayer ceremony.
CM Punjab extends support to oppressed
The chief minister said that this country belonged to every Pakistani and Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, and Christians are all one and the government supported every oppressed,
Meanwhile, the construction and renovation of the church’s ground floor has been completed and it has been opened for worship.
He said that the work of repairing and restoring the worship places of the Christian community was going on.
The CM directed to complete the remaining work of the church soon.
