LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz attended the passing out parade ceremony of the Punjab Elite Force on Friday, held at the Elite Force Training Centre in Bedian.
As the chief guest, she wore an Elite Force police uniform and inspected the parade, which was also attended by members of her cabinet and the Punjab inspector general.
In her address, Maryam expressed her pleasure at being part of the ceremony and congratulated the new police cadets. She emphasized her connection to the force, saying, “I am one of you. I have come to this passing out parade wearing your uniform. This is not just a uniform, but an emblem of national service that very few are honored to wear.”
Maryam Nawaz also highlighted that the Punjab Elite Force was a sapling planted by Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif. She announced cash prizes for the top performers and commended the female cadets, acknowledging the trust and dedication their parents placed in them by supporting their commitment to national service.
